Description

Every marine engine’s water pump provides the complete volume of cooling water necessary to prevent overheating. This can be done either directly in an open-cooled engine or indirectly through the heat exchanger in a closed-cooled engine. In any circumstance, the impeller’s vanes might gradually deteriorate, “take a form,” or, in the worst cases, split. Overheating could happen if the impellers are unable to keep the flow of cooling water to the engine consistent.
