Description

The ignition contact sets or contact breakers are used to switch the primary circuit on the ignition coil or switch the control current to the transistor. The CONTACT SET (18-5314) fits the conventional ignition system. These consists of two sets of circuit windings, the main and secondary. The battery sends 12 volts of electricity through the contact breaker point to the ignition coil and magnetizes the coil’s core while charging the primary windings. The contactor disengages from the circuit, and the inductor is required to discharge through the sparkplug. The Sierra 18-5314 Contact Set. is built with precision for Pleasurecraft R114004 for Mallory 1988 & Up. Pleasurecraft R114001 all Mallory thru 1987.
